东京大学分子细胞生物学专业医学博士，有十余年肝病及感染性疾病临床工作和二十余年基础医学研究经历。目前主要从事治疗基因及基因工程蛋白药物的靶向和跨膜输送、载体开发及其应用研究，包括跨膜递送载体—细胞膜穿透肽的筛选和鉴定，运用小分子等促进细胞膜穿透肽的穿膜效率，由细胞膜穿透肽介导的DNA、siRNA、抗炎以及抗肿瘤蛋白质（多肽）分子的跨膜递送，恶性肿瘤的免疫治疗，干细胞诱导等。主持和合作承担多项国家面上基金、省自科基金、教育厅自科基金等。发表学术论文80余篇，获得多项国家新发明专利。目前兼任中国微生物学会干扰素与细胞因子专业委员会理事，宜昌市传染病与寄生虫学会常务委员，A-IMBN会员以及《Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology》等杂志审稿专家。
研究方向：
1） 治疗基因及基因工程蛋白药物的靶向输送，载体开发(体外转染、转导，诱导干细胞以及siRNA递送等)，恶性肿瘤的生物治疗；
2）肝纤维化等慢性肝病的分子发病机理分子治疗靶点探索。
